Menangle Park: 4000 new homes to be built in south-west Sydney community

The construction of the first homes in the new Menangle Park precinct has begun, with developers predicting the community’s first residents will move in by 2021.

Developers of the project, Dahua Group Australia started stage one of the project’s flagship masterplanned community, with 255 houses to go up.

The new homes mark the beginning for the massive $1.5 billion development of more than 4000 homes in the landmark south-west Sydney growth corridor.

“We are committed to developing communities that will stand the test of time, creating memorable experiences and a vibrant sense of place for local residents,” Dahua Group Australia NSW/Queensland chief executive Eric Li said.

Menangle Park is just 10 kilometres from Campbelltown’s city centre on a greenfields site along the Nepean River.

House and land packages in Menangle Park have already started to been listed for sale.

4 bedroom houses begin at $597,000 and range up to $821,000 for a five-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

A future towncentre will be built featuring schools, childcare facilities and retail space.

Walking trails, sports fields and parks will be included in 41 hectares of open spaces dedicated to the new suburb.

Civil contractors JKW have been appointed to break ground, and to prepare the first stage of 255 lots, with construction of homes to begin within twelve months.

“This is a regionally significant project that will unlock housing opportunities, commercial and community development, and employment opportunities,” Associate Director of Development, Robert Fischer said.

The first residents of Menangle Park are expected to start moving in within 18 months.
